Susan
Ellis' Asia Pacific Observations
While
touring Singaapore, Australia and New Zealand in March
/ April 2005, US based volunteerism expert Susan Ellis
recorded her experiences and thoughts with visitors
to her Energize site. These included her thoughts
on the first ever National retreat for Advanced Volunteer
Management.
The
archival collection of Ivan Scheier
Ivan Scheier has long been regarded as the 'grandfather'
of volunteerism. He has been committed to volunteering
since the mid 1960's and has written voluminous books
and articles on the topic of volunteer management.
Ivan is also credited with coining the term 'volunteerism'.
This site archives a large portion of Ivan's philosophical
thoughts.

Database Software
This
volunteer centre management software called VolCentre
is used by several centres in New Zealand and has
been around since 1992. Since then it has been upgraded
and enhanced many times. You can download and use
the demo software free of charge. Upgrading to the
full version attracts a $NZ 200 fee
